Summary

The Live Stream Operator is focused on Unicorns.LIVE. This individual will set up and perform video tests prior to each show to ensure the product is of the highest quality. The role is imperative for executing and supporting the Unicorns.LIVE team in creating a high quality product that our sales and marketing team can promote to attract new creators and subscribers to the platform. The role will begin as part-time (10-20 hours per week) with a 6 month contract and has the potential to turn into a full time permanent position.

Job Duties

• Capturing live stream shows with the tools and resources provided. Ensuring everything is ready to go prior to shooting

• Continuously improve the quality of streams

• Manage equipment and ensure it remains in working condition

• Up-to-date on trends in video and streaming technology

• Understanding of broadcasting, video encoding equipment, video codecs, and live video delivery systems

• Enthusiastic for continuing to build knowledge regarding live streaming and broadcasting

• Creative and outgoing, enjoys bringing new ideas to the table during brainstorming sessions

• Execute administrative duties to ensure timeliness of operations are met (managing on-time delivery of streams and working alongside with the production team, marketing team, and the operations team)

Key Qualifications

• Experience in broadcasting or live streaming events, and knowledge of live streaming workflows – will train on specifics

• Proven ability and success working with cross-functional teams

• Strong record of leadership in a professional, or extracurricular setting

• Experience analyzing data to prioritize and make informed decisions

• Ability to clearly communicate to a global and diverse audience

• Experience with video editing preferred

• Highly effective prioritization, and time management skills to meet deadlines

• Ability to prioritize and multi-task, and to remain calm and troubleshoot under pressure

• Highly proficient with technology. We use the following tools:

• Google Suite (Drive, Docs, gmail, etc)

• Wrike (Project Management)

• Studio 6 Livestream (or other appropriate streaming software)

• Restream

• Zoom

• Davinci Resolve (or other video editing software)

• Ability to work individually and in group settings

• Post-secondary education preferred but not required
