Job Purpose

As Finance Coordinator you will play a key role in ensuring that the finances of the Real Ideas Group are effectively managed using best practice systems and approaches while maintaining the accounting records accurately and up to date, and that Real Ideas assets are safeguarded and employed effectively. You will operate as a member of the Real Ideas Finance Team, implementing and using financial systems to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the organisation.

You will work closely with the Finance Manager, Reporting & Claims Manager and Programme Leads in ensuring we maintain exemplary and high-quality finance reporting that produces tangible impact and creates value for Real Ideas members and others.

Main duties and responsibilities:

• Support the Finance Manager with month end duties to enable the production of monthly management accounts, including preparation of one company’s monthly accounts within the group
• Processing and management of sales ledger including raising of sales invoices, processing of all ticketed income using multiple online platforms and processing of financial data through EPOS till systems
• Support the Finance/Reporting and Claims team to prepare claims and reports for funding bodies when necessary including updating internal budget tracking spreadsheets
• Maintaining oversight of the work of the Finance Assistant in ensuring the smooth running of Real Ideas financial systems and functions, inclusive of all purchase ledger payments, petty cash, finance administration.
• Credit Control – managing sales ledger balances inclusive of chasing debts owed to the company. Alerting the Finance Manager of valid reason for any late receipts and providing a solution.
• Posting sales ledger bank account transactions into the accounts system
• Reconciliations of multiple online payment platforms
• Supporting with administrative process in accordance with security policy and ensuring compliance with PCI-DSS regulations
• Balance sheet reconciliations
• Month end journals inclusive of all payroll journals and EPOS tabs
• Management of EPOS system including all processing, reporting, support for other teams, updating of products, pricing
• Managing the stocktakes across multiple locations, checking pricing and processing in the system
