Reading Bay Hiring for Online High School Science Teacher: Biology/Chemistry Job at Remote Full Time

As a part time online science teacher, without requirement of your location, you are responsible for delivering science lessons through online video conference, and being attentive to student needs to help students reach learning objectives.

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The duties of the science teacher may include, but are not limited to the following tasks:

· Delivering one on one or group classes through online platform

· Preparing teaching materials to meet student needs; supporting student learning through thoughtful planning and preparation and sound online classroom management practices.

· Assessing student progress, delivering progress reports for students every month.

· Effectively communicating with administrators, student service personnel regarding student performance and plans for improvement

· Participating in teacher/parent meetings as needed

REQUIREMENTS

· Bachelor’s degree or higher

· Experience in science instruction in an secondary school setting

· Flexibility and a team-spirit work ethic

· Well-developed interpersonal skills

· Five or more years teaching experience

· Teaching certificate

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

· National Board certificate

· Experience in differentiating instruction, and supporting students with learning challenges

· Experience in curriculum design

· Familiar with IGCSE

Salary: $30.00 – $35.00 per hour
