Are you a skilled talent development professional looking for your next challenge? Do you have a proven track record of successfully partnering with HR and business stakeholders to achieve organisational objectives? Have you designed and delivered effective leadership and management development programmes?
If your answer is ‘yes’ to all of these, then this could be the role for you!
We are looking for a Head of Talent Development to join our Group HR function. As the Head of Talent Development you will be responsible for identifying and creating progression routes for our colleagues, developing and executing learning plans for career and competency development and supporting succession planning across the business.
You will essentially have a ‘blank canvas’ with the freedom and the scope to analyse and define our talent development priorities, including team structure and focus, the resources needed, budgetary responsibility and the management of third parties.
Reporting to the Group HR Director this role is integral in helping to shape and drive our continued growth, as well as ensuring we empower, support and develop our colleagues for the duration of their career at Reach, helping them to achieve their professional and personal goals.
So, who are we?

Oh, and we should probably also mention that with a monthly readership of 47 million people, Reach is the largest commercial publisher in the UK. At Reach, not only will you feel better understood, you will also feel you understand other people better too.
What will the role involve?
As the Head of Talent Development you will provide ongoing education, support and guidance to leaders across the business regarding the need to adopt a holistic view of talent management. This includes incorporating learning, career development and succession planning to execute and achieve business strategy and objectives.
As the subject matter expert in the design, delivery and implementation of learning and organisational development strategies, you will collaborate with colleagues within HR and Talent Acquisition, as well as leaders across the business to ensure we are meeting the needs of our colleagues and the organisation as a whole.
