Part of the Dunstall Holdings Groups, Rea Valley Tractors (RVT) was established over 30 years ago and is a leading regional agricultural machinery dealer. We supply an extensive range of agricultural machinery throughout Shropshire, Staffordshire, Derbyshire, mid and North Wales, Cheshire and Lancashire and also sell high-quality used equipment across the UK and abroad. We will have seven depots in Newport, Shrewsbury, Sudbury, Welshpool, Cheshire, Lancashire and North Wales.

Job Purpose

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced assistant accountant who will be reliable and work well within a small and friendly team. This role will add value through the individual’s capability to collaborate relevant financial and non-financial information to aid in management decision making.

The post holder will assist the financial controller to deliver the budget process, prepare the management accounts, assist with the year end audit and provide high quality information. You will have an analytical mind, be a well-developed communicator and self-motivated.

  Month/year end process ownership

  Management accounts preparation

  Fixed Asset and HP maintenance
• 
  Balance sheet reconciliations
• 
  VAT Return
• 
  Asset Financing
• 
  Ad hoc reporting and analysis
• 
  Assisting with budget preparation
• 
  Preparation for year-end audits
• 
  P11D’s

Candidate Requirements

• 
  Accounting knowledge and experience
• 
  Studying/Part qualified AAT Level 4 as a minimum or relevant experience
• 
  Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook,)
• 
  A high level of proficiency in Excel is a requirement to be successful in this role
