What we’re doing

The Commercial Analyst sits within the Finance and Business Services Group, headed up by the Chief Financial Officer. The Finance and Business Services team, or FaBS as we like to call them, is the engine room of the REA Group. The team is comprised of Finance, Risk, Procurement, Pricing, Contracts, Customer Collections, Payments and Facilities Management.

As a Commercial Analyst, you will work alongside our Audience & Marketing lines of business which are respectively responsible for the realestate.com.au consumer marketing, audience and content impact.

You will be a key member of the commercial finance team, where you will work together with the EGMs and Leadership teams to elevate commercial acumen and financial accountability within the business to deliver financial growth and efficiencies in a scalable manner.

A few things you will be doing day to day:

• Own month end reporting & analysis

• Forecasts and yearly budgets

• Pro-actively manage stakeholders on analysis of variations to budget and trends in expenditure; including presentations to leadership team and GM

• Project Tracking & CAPEX management; as well as work closely with Product and IT on headcount and product roadmap initiatives impacting ROI;

• Establish critical working and influential relationships with commercial, statutory financial and operational management teams

• Best practice with Commercial Analyst cohort & continuous improvement

• Monthly reporting to executives and leadership team on financial & operational performance; including revenue, costs, headcount, consumer traffic and engagement metrics, and marketing spend efficiencies

• Ad hoc analysis & projects

Who we’re looking for

• Experience in an accounting firm or in an industry environment in a commercial/management accounting capacity.

• Bachelor in Commerce and/or Accounting – CA/CPA qualified

• Advanced Excel, PowerPoint, Word

• Looks at tricky situations through a solutions-focused lens

• Work productively in a fast paced and agile environment – #gsd
