Tool Room Machinist

About the Position

The Tool Room Machinist is responsible for operating the tool room machinery used by RB&W.

Specific Responsibilities

• Operate department machinery to shape dies, punches and inserts per specifications.
• Use precise measurement tools to determine product dimensions.
• Maintain a documented materials inventory
• Maintain a log of work orders completed
• Support Production by investigating and troubleshooting quality and production issues as required
• Troubleshoot machinery and assignments
• Keep working area clean and in a safe manner

Qualifications

• Certificate of Apprenticeship and Qualification in the Machinist or Tool & Die Making discipline
• 3 years of related work experience
• Technical skills and dexterity to operate industrial equipment
• Ability to read blueprints
• Physical demands of position:

• Bending, reaching, pulling, pushing, carrying, lifting, climbing, gripping, stooping and generally moving about machines.
• Tightening and loosening bolts/nuts.
• Visual acuity sufficient to fill/read forms, measuring devices and drawings.
• Intense concentration, dexterity and analytical abilities

Day Shift

Start Rate – $28.07

6 months – $30.19

Hourly rate plus $3.35 per hour pension contribution

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: $28.07-$30.19 per hour
