A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A FINANCE ASSISTANT AT THE GANTRY LONDON HOTEL

What you’ll be doing…

Reporting to the Financial Controller, you can expect your working day to include the following.

• Post and process journal entries to ensure all business transactions are recorded

• Work on accounts receivable, issue invoices, post receipts and provide weekly debtor reports to

• Work on accounts payable, assist with posting invoices, prepare payment runs and perform supplier reconciliations

• Prepare daily bank reconciliations

• Assist with reviewing and posting of expenses

• Prepare daily sales reports

• Support the business by ordering office supplies and ad hoc expenses

• Assist the Financial Controller in the preparation of monthly/yearly accounts

• Assist with other accounting projects as and when needed

WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU

To succeed in the role of Finance Assistant, you will need the following qualities and skills.

• Excellent knowledge of MS Excel and accounting software.

• Strong knowledge of bookkeeping.

• Good organisational skills.

• Strong analytical skills.

• Detail-oriented.

• Excellent time management skills.
