Raytheon Intelligence & Space (RIS) is currently seeking candidates for an exciting opportunity to join the Space and C2 Systems team to support Satellite Operations and Maintenance (O&M) positions. The selected candidates will join a skilled O&M team working in a 24/7 operations environment. The O&M team is responsible for all aspects of Operations Planning, Command and Control, and Vehicle Engineering, including monitoring day-to-day activities as well as identifying and solving challenging problems as they occur. After completion of comprehensive on-the-job training, the selected candidates will be part of a certified team of subject matter experts that are integral to our customer’s success.

**The selected candidate(s) will be sponsored for a TS/SCI Security Clearance with CI Poly by Raytheon Technologies. The candidate’s onboarding is contingent upon obtaining the necessary clearance prior to starting employment. **

Key responsibilities for the qualified candidate include:

• Build and/or execute a daily operations plan using complex software and hardware systems
• Technical knowledge of a large repository of formal procedures with the responsibility to accurately select and apply the correct procedure(s) depending on the specific scenario at hand
• Document discrepancies as they occur & implement workarounds and contingency plans to minimize impacts of system anomalies
• Cross-train in other O&M positions as assigned and assist with training of other personnel on the contract team
• Other duties as assigned

Security Clearance & Other Requirements: TS/SCI with CI Poly

As a defense contractor, there are specific programs requiring a certain level of security clearance and special access for assigned staff. This role will require a TS/SCI Security Clearance with CI Poly at Day 1.

• The selected candidate(s) onboarding is contingent upon obtaining a TS/SCI Security Clearance with CI Poly prior to starting employment (sponsored through Raytheon Technologies)
• Qualified applicants will be subject to a security investigation and must meet the requirements to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI with CI Poly government security clearance. Only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
• Not being able to secure the clearance needed for this position may result in an offer of employment being rescinded

Requirements:

• This position is in support of an integral 24/7 Operations environment. As such availability for non-scheduled call-in is required and the job assignment requires working a combination of day staff and shift schedules, assigned based on the dynamic needs of the team
• Availability to work overtime is required
• Must have strong communication skills, both written and verbal
• Must be able to apply critical thinking toward problem solving in time-critical situations
• Must effectively work in a team environment
• Able to start position roughly 12 months from offer acceptance (start date contingent on when clearance is awarded)

Desired Requirements:

• Experience working a rotating shift schedule
• Experience providing/receiving training to/from a wide range of learning/teaching styles
• Working in a virtual team environment
• Proficient use of both Windows and UNIX platforms
• Experience with Perl, VBA, and/or other scripting languages
• Knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite
• Previous intern experience
• A GPA of 3.0+ is highly desired (please include your GPA on your resume)

Required Education:

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree and anticipate degree award in 2022 (Spring, Summer, Fall, or Winter)
• The degree must be obtained within 12 months prior to start date
• Majors in Systems/Aerospace/Electrical/Mechanical Engineering ,Math or a closely related STEM field will be considered for this role
