Job Summary:
The Operations and Supply Chain organization has an opportunity for a talented professional to join our team in a critical Supplier Engineering role within who will be involved in all aspects of planning and executing the production of our wide range of weapon systems, from tactical missiles to strategic defense products. You will provide technical knowledge & process capability expertise to improve supplier performance. You will be involved in all phases of product life cycles, beginning with proposal development, new product development, advanced manufacturing initiatives and continuing through production implementation. You will ensure technical data packages are complete and accurate and that the supplier technical performance meets the objectives of quality, cost and schedule. You will drive Raytheon design requirements to improve manufacturing and quality capabilities of suppliers. You will initiate continuous and measurable design and process improvement of supplier hardware for affordability.
Responsibilities to Anticipate:
Communicate and translate the technical data package to suppliers
Conduct supplier engagements related to capability, capacity, opportunity and risk
Perform technical evaluations in support of cost and price analysis
Manage supplier requests for product and process changes
Manage product non-conformances; Drive root cause and corrective action
Prioritize and execute improvement opportunities
Communicate the technical health of our suppliers to stakeholders
Support travel as needed
Basic Qualifications:
Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) or equivalent experience and a minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience unless prohibited by local laws/regulations.
The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required
Frequent travel is required.
Preferred Qualification:
Experience with Manufacturing Engineering is strongly preferred.

This position is currently designated as fully remote. However, the successful candidate will be required to work from one of the 50 U.S. states (excluding U.S. Territories.

The salary range for this role is 75,000 USD – 161,000 USD; however, RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills. Hired applicants may be eligible for benefits, including but not limited to, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, flexible work schedules, employee assistance program, Employee Scholar Program, parental leave, paid time off, and holidays. Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.
