Job Description ~
The Accounting Manager will oversee the company’s accounting system, personnel, and data by supervising the Senior Accountant to maintain accurate books for accounts payable/job costing, customer invoicing/receivables, cash management, payroll, fixed assets, and Inventory. The Accounting Manager will also prepare month-end general ledger entries and financial statements for review and collaborative analysis with Director of Finance and Accounting.

• Timely and accurate processing of all accounting and related transactions
• Effect compliance to all financial and accounting procedures and policies company-wide
• Issue financial statements (for review), tax filings and financial analysis accurately and timely

Job Duties ~

• Oversee the operations and personnel of the Accounting Department, which include accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations and collections
• Prepare month end close, reconcile GL and prepare financial statements and related reports
• Maintain accounting policies and procedures to ensure GAAP and tax and regulatory compliance; recommend new policies and procedures as required
• Oversee and run payroll and related HR reports
• Ensure that all tax filings are prepared and filed timely
• Oversee and or prepare various interim financial reports
• Work with company and team to maintain accurate inventory, counting and verification processes
• Analyze job costs and margin variances, work with team to train and create policies and procedures to mitigate
• Special financial and accounting projects as required.

Required Skills/Qualifications ~

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting
• Experience in Manufacturing/Job costing
• 5 years or more of related experience required
• Excellent management and supervisory skills
• Intermediate+ Excel skills; vlook-ups
• Experience with ERP systems
