About the role:
Working within a friendly, supportive, yet fast paced environment, this is a hands on role within the finance team to ensure the provision of timely and accurate reporting to key stakeholders and a high degree of responsiveness to finance team customers, with the overriding mandate of maintaining a robust financial control environment.

Financial Reporting

• Assist with completion of month-end reporting requirements to strict deadlines including completion of:
  • preparation and processing of month-end journal entries
  • transaction listing reviews
  • balance sheet reconciliations
  • inter-company account reconciliations
• Fixed asset register maintenance and reporting
• Daily bank account reconciliation for multiple bank accounts including operating and trust accounts
• Assist in cash flow management

Accounts Receivable

• Processing of various direct debit transactions
• Maintaining customer data in NetSuite and revenue management system
• Raising ad-hoc customer invoices
• Assist with management of outstanding debtors
• Provide timely responses to queries from customers and internal stakeholders

Accounts Payable

• Support Finance Officer/s with:
  • timely and accurate data entry of creditor invoices and employee expense
  • prepare and process twice monthly creditors payment runs and make ad hoc payments as required to meet business needs
• Filing and archiving documentation on a regular basis
• Reconciliation of creditor and AMEX travel card statements on a monthly basis to deadlines

Other:

• Ensure strong process controls are maintained
• Provide support to Accounts Payable/Receivable Officer as required
• Assist with end-of-year audit tasks
• Provide administration support to finance team members
• Liaise with internal stakeholders
• Other ad-hoc duties as required

To be successful in this role, you will have completed a tertiary qualification in Accounting. Studying towards a CPA/CA qualification will be desirable but not essential.

This role would suit someone with a minimum of 2 years experience. You will draw on your excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively engage with internal and external stakeholders and thrive in a fast paced, deadline driven environment.

High attention to detail and ability to follow through with requests for information or other tasks assigned and Intermediate Excel skills are essential for this role. Experience with a major finance/ERP system and/or NetSuite is highly desirable but not essential.
