Your Impact

The Systems Engineer at Murrumbidgee Irrigation brings the grand ideas to light, drives the change, and sees it all through to delivery.

You’ll be taking charge within the overall support of infrastructure and projects environment. Your experience across the platforms and processing environments through on-premises technologies will enable a connected and integrated Systems Team. Bonus points for cloud technology experience.

You’re a natural at looking at the bigger picture. Being hands-on with projects in this role play a critical goal in successful delivery. Your technical experience is important. But your ability to fluidly build strong relationships is vital.

You can expect to:

• Take the lead role in enhancing the team with knowledge to manage and administer the environment of on-premises technologies and an Azure environment.
• Scope and develop opportunities to drive innovation- all the way from initial planning to completion.
• Implement relevant procedures, technical documentation, monitoring and governance to maintain high levels of system availability, security, reliability, performance and recoverability.
• Establish and maintain working relationships with key stakeholders.

You’re an expert in building and maintaining strong relationships with every corner of the business, to understand the needs and identify opportunities for enhancing operational efficiency.

As the Systems Engineer, your contribution and delivery of projects is vital. You’re a natural technical leader. Someone who is confident in their abilities. Your approach will need to be agile. Entering a greenfield site, you’re willing to own and stamp your mark. This will be illustrated by:

• 3+ years’ experience across a range of on-premises technologies.
• Hands on experience across the Microsoft Enterprise Products including Azure AD, Microsoft Office 365, Windows Server 2019, Endpoint Manager and Microsoft Defender.
• Your experience in Networking, Backup and Recovery, Mobile Device Management, AD, DNS & Cybersecurity practices.
• Advanced experience in ICT incident, analysis and change management procedures.
• Experience with migrating legacy applications to cloud platforms.
