External Description :

The ER / TR Advisor is a key member of the Human Resources team at Randstad. This role acts as a critical partner supporting the people strategy for Randstad US.

The key focus includes conducting complex investigations and mitigating risk by ensuring compliance with federal, state, local employment, and Randstad regulations.

The ER / TR Advisor ensures consistent application and consultation while acting as the subject matter expert.

Providing Counsel

• Consult with colleagues from all levels of the organization on escalated issues pertaining to performance, coaching and guidance, harassment and discrimination, terminations, or other employment law related concerns
• Prepare non-HR colleagues to handle talent-related investigations regarding alleged employment law infractions and ensures all steps have been completed
• Craft strategies for resolving personnel issues and for minimizing the adverse personnel impact of business decisions, while ensuring fairness and consistency in a discrimination and harassment free workplace
• Mitigate risk by ensuring compliance with Randstad policies, EEO, FMLA, ADA laws and all federal, state, local employment rules and regulations i.

Documentation

• Create detailed logs of all verbal, recorded, and written communication via (Front Range) electronic ing system for issue resolution and analysis
• Content owner for ER & TR information posted on the intranet such as the Employment Law Reference Guides

Driving Policy

• Identify opportunities and participate in human resource policy development, revisions, approval and communication, development of best practices and proposing of new / modified policies better meeting the organization’s needs
• Update and post internal employee handbook; ensure external talent guidebooks are updated with accurate HR information

Training & Development

Serve as a SME for all pertinent training opportunities and facilitate as necessary such as New Hire onboarding sessions, “Keeping it Legal” courses, assist in the training of new HRBPs in ER / TR related matters and information sessions

Benchmarking

• Conduct research comparing company practices to industry standards and best practices
• Analyze & identify opportunities to proactively respond to growing trends
• Creating and implementing tools, resources and solutions integrating leading-edge best practices for the organization

What you need to bring :

• Bachelor’s degree preferred
• Minimum of 5 years of professional HR experience, preferably within Employee / Labor Relations, HR Consulting or HR Generalist role
• PHR preferred
• Proficiency using Google mail, calendaring and shared drives
• Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities :
• Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, conflict management and decision-making skills a must
• Organizational and time-management skills are essential with the ability to multitask while still maintaining an attention to detail
• Ability to develop and maintain collaborative and effective working relationships at all levels of the organization
• Strong consulting skills – influencing, collaboration, contracting and responsiveness
• Presentation and facilitation skills a plus
• Ability to work well in a team environment
• Strong verbal and written communication with all levels of the organization
• Must be proficient with MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint and must be comfortable utilizing other electronic database tools including Google Mail, Internet, etc.
• Ability to remain calm and composed when handling difficult situations
• Demonstrate capabilities to provide insight and sound judgment to support multiple business needs
• Successful identification, creation and communication of Employee & Talent Relation’s tools needed by internal and external employees
• Must have strong sense of confidentiality and discretion
• Ability to demonstrate good judgment
• Must handle employee issues and concerns with diplomacy and respect

The base salary range for this position is $72,675 – $103,500.

Pay offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors including the candidate’s education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.

Based on eligibility, a successful candidate’s total compensation may include a variable pay plan including bonus(es) and / or commission(s).

In setting compensation, Randstad complies with all local wage and hour laws and while the pay range listed above is an annual amount, non-exempt employees will be paid hourly and therefore receive the hourly equivalent.
