salary : $20 – $24 per hour

shift : First

work hours : 8 AM – 5 PM

Responsibilities

• Assign carriers based on shipment information and schedule shipments.
• Negotiate carrier rates, selecting carriers in line with service levels and profitability targets.
• Monitor and on carrier performance, resolving failures promptly.
• Maintain communication with Account Executives and leadership.
• Ensure daily coverage for expected shipments and maintain customer and vendor files.
• Investigate and resolve freight invoice bills and confirm transportation orders.
• Coordinate transportation solutions, negotiating spot rates for optimal and profitable transport.
• Track and trace shipments with contracted carriers and collaborate with warehouse schedulers.
• Develop and analyze dedicated routes and schedules, providing performance data s.
• Handle logistical issues and provide coverage during irregular work schedules.
• Coordinate OS&D issues at delivery locations and create / distribute weekly shipping s.
