We are looking for a Site Engineer to work on water projects in the Sussex area for a large, respected contractor. The perfect applicant will have experience working on projects within wastewater or freshwater treatment.

With plenty of work in the pipeline, your position will be secure and frequently adapting on projects with varying values. Your input to the site will be technical, organisational and supervisory.

Duties will include:

• Determine the location for infrastructural installations, setting out, levelling and surveying the site
• Review all civil engineering designs and plans to provide engineering assistance to site activities
• Responsibility for site health, safety, quality and environmental protection
• Supervision of the manpower working on site
• Liaise with other employees and subcontractors
• Responsible for keeping accurate drawings
• Perform site monitoring and surveying
• Create safe systems of work, method statements, reports and quality documentation
• Help to monitor budgets and site performance
• Ensure materials are in accordance with the specifications
• Attend progress meetings
• Assist with requisition of materials and their performance

Requirements:

• Previous experience working on projects in the water industry
• Desirable: Engineering qualification and experience with CAD
• Experience working as a site engineer on civils
• CSCS
• SMSTS
