A medium sized engineering consultancy based in Central London is offering a fantastic opportunity for the role of a Senior Geotechnical Engineer. The candidate must have Chartered status with ICE or Geological Society or similar organisation and extensive work experience is required.This vacancy requires recent experience in using software such as; Wallap, Slop-W and the Oasys suite of geotechnical software, plaxis.
The role will also require the candidate to:
Be in charge of technical review, or preparation of geotechnical reports, calculations, specifications and drawings for a variety of environmental, structural, civil engineering and infrastructure projects
Show leadership skills and management to your team and also multi disciplinary teams
Advise and update the project partner of any possible changes to geotechnical scope, circumstances, or programme that may impact on cost and agree actions
Delegate workload and train other team members
Manage and record health and safety risks and maintain the site visit
The ideal candidate will possess:
Flexible, enthusiastic motivated team leadership skills
Efficient resource management
Skills to develop client relationships and networks
The ability to show creativity innovation and leadership in the investigation, evaluation design and risk assessment of geotechnical engineering solutions for foundations, retaining structures, basements, scopes and many more
Experience of British ground investigation techniques and construction methods, and relevant Codes
It is also required to have a minimum level of education of BEng or BSc in geology, Geotechnical Engineering or Engineering Geology or Civil Engineering.
