Randstad CPE Looking for Senior Engineer at North London, London Full Time

Randstad CPE is currently recruiting for a permanent Senior Engineer to work for a major tier 1 contractor in the UK on a multi-million pound project in North London.

This project is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced individual to manage works from the beginning. The project is set to last at least two years so not only will this provide stability, there will also be the opportunity to progress your career and establish yourself within the company. A mainstay within the UK civil engineering community, this major contractor is looking to build the team with many exciting projects on the way!

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Report directly into the Sub and Site Agent.
• Liaise with clients, sub-contractors and the design team to ensure that the delivery of the construction phase of the project is done efficiently and effectively.
• Prepare and write method statements, ITP’s and risk assessments.
• Site set ups and compliance with health and safety, advising the junior staff on best practice.
• Planning and programming the works three weeks in advance.
• Attend and aid the Sub Agent in leading weekly progress meetings.
• Management of shift engineers on-site and ensure the progress of the project is in conjunction with plans, communicating delays.
• Provide delivery of bulk earthworks, civils works including drainage and ducting, reinforced concrete and steel structures, hard and soft landscaping, envelope and internal elements of and the works in industrial buildings with basements, offices and mixed use buildings.

Candidate Requirements:

• Civil Engineering degree (required).
• Previous experience working on water retaining structures, drainage and ducting, road and pavements and earthworks is desired.
• CSCS card.
• SMSTS.

Desired:

• Temporary work supervision.
• Occupating Competency Card.
• HSEQ Training.
• NRSWA Supervisor or IOSH Avoiding Danger from Underground Services.
• RD8000 and TX3 training.
