We are looking for a Contracts Supervisor to work on civils projects in the Kent and Sussex areas, for a regional based contractor.

You will need to have experience of leading and supervising a team of 4-5 workers to ensure that projects proceed smoothly. Ideally candidates will have worked their way up from a tools background.

You will be responsible for:

• Day to day running of construction site in accordance to job specification & client brief
• Supervision of Gangs on site and any other subcontractors as necessary
• Ensure completion & following of relevant Risk Assessments and Method Statements & other requirements in respect of H&S on site
• Ensuring that works are carried out in a safe manner in accordance with the company Integrated Management System with due regard for the public, customers and other site employees.
• Systems are in place and cascaded to supervisor / relevant people to meet requirements of the form of contract.
• Ensure that work is carried out in accordance with the contract.
• Place timely and accurate orders for materials and plant with Operations team to ensure efficient production balancing cost against client value and adherence to standards.
• Ensure that accurate site records are maintained and where necessary measuring and valuing work, liaising with the surveyor and the customer representative.
• Carry out any other tasks from time to time reasonably requested by the company.

Requirements:

• Experience working on civil engineering projects with a main contractor, with experience in – highways, bridges, infrastructure, environmental, frameworks and special works
• CSCS Card (Gold)
• SMSTS or SSSTS
• First Aid (3 day course)
