3D Civil CAD Technician

Location – Peterborough

Pay – £35 – £40 p/h (PAYE)

3D Civil CAD Technician required to join our expanding team to work with a leading contractor within the wastewater industry.

Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities:

• Ensure the succesful delivery of defined technical solutions.
• Communicate and quantify any residual risks associated with the preferred solution
• Maintain up to date technical knowledge of survey, design, drafting, project and contract management standards and techniques
• Maintain communication and develop ongoing relationships with clients, stakeholders and customers as required

Day to day activities:

• Produce models and drawings ensuring compliance with relevant local and national
  standards
• Preparation of 3D models
• Preparation of site layouts and General Arrangements
• The use of Plant 3D/AutoCAD to produce the above models/drawings
• Carry out site surveys
• Carry out 3D laser scanning on site, and stitch Pointcloud outputs using proprietary
  software
• Co-ordinate and liaise with other internal and external mechanical, electrical, civil
  designers, sub-contractors and suppliers
• Assist with the design verification and validation processes, including attending design
  reviews.
• Evaluation of potential hazards through design risk assessments
  

Essential:

• Experience in Revit, Plant3D, Civil3D or Navisworks and fluent in Microsoft Office 360.
• Experience working within water or waste water industry
• A team member able to work with minimal supervision with other discipline engineers with the capability to identify the optimised Solution(s) for the Need(s)
• Experience working as part of a design team.
• Ability to summarise and specify technical solution requirements in accordance with technical standards and specifications.
