Ramsey EyeCare PLLC Hiring for Medical Transcriptionist at Charleston, WV Full Time

Ramsey EyeCare is seeking a full time optometric medical transcriptionist for our Charleston, WV office located downtown on Lee Street. Ideal candidates will enjoy a fast paced environment with attention to detail and excellent patient care and customer service. Initial training will include technician training to ensure understanding of patient workflow.

General Responsibilities include but are not limited to (training provided)-

• Working closely with the doctor.
• Performing optometric pre-testing and scans.
• General optometric and health office tasks.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Superb listening and time management skills.

Hours

• Our office is open M-F 8am-5pm with staff having 30-60 minutes for lunch, and from 8am – 1pm Saturday.
• Note this position is 5-6 days a week, Monday-Saturday with half day on Wednesday and Saturday.

Compensation

• Hired candidate will start at $19.00 per hour with an expected raise to $20.00 per hour following a successful 90 day probation/training period and possibility for further raises on periodic review.
• Paid vacation days accrue over time totaling 13 days per year after probationary period.
• Medical insurance is available at 50% employer paid coverage and 50% insured responsibility before tax. (However you may choose to obtain insurance elsewhere.)
• As an eyecare providers office, employees will benefit from ocular health care provided by our doctors including refractive updates, contact lens fitting, and any required ocular health monitoring. (Materials at cost after sufficient tenure.)

EHR experience is beneficial but not necessary, training will be provided for all duties on hire provided that you are willing to learn!
