The Opportunity

An exciting opportunity exists for a dynamic Director of Finance to be responsible for the Sunshine Coast Network – North (Noosa Hospital and Nambour Selangor Private Hospital).

As the Director of Finance and Support Services, you will be ing to the CEO as a key member of the hospital executive team. The position is responsible for overseeing financial management of the hospitals, supported by an offsite Finance Service Centre which will undertake the transactional accounting functions for this role.

Additionally, you will be responsible for:

• Finalisation and analysis of results and identification of opportunities for improvements and growth
• Development of annual budgets and business plans.
• Management of various non-clinical departments within the hospital, such as Front Office/Patient Administration, Health Information Services, Catering and Housekeeping.
• Liaison with corporate finance services regarding ing and compliance
• Partnering with clinical departments to educate and empower departmental managers to understand, monitor and meet KPIs.

Your Skills And Experience

To be successful in this role you will possess significant commercial acumen, financial management expertise, highly effective leadership skills and the ability to foster strong, positive, and professional relationships with remote and on-site teams.

You will also meet the following essential criteria:

• Qualifications in accountancy/finance management, preferably CPA or CA
• Minimum 5 years accountancy experience
• Ability to analyse financial and operational information, develop value creating insights and work collaboratively with the business to improve business performance
• Demonstrated excellent attention to detail, decision making capabilities and ability to communicate clearly and concisely
• Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office programs especially Excel
• Previous experience working with large accounting software packages and financial ing models including advanced budget preparation
• Proven track record of effectively collaborating with and providing support to the Executive team and Senior Leaders in a transparent way, fostering a culture of open communication and trust.

Desirable:

• Financial management experience in a health care environment
• Knowledge of financial legislation and financial risk management frameworks in a healthcare environment
