Our Client

Our client offers a wide range of plastic and plastic-related services as well as several proprietary product lines, taking products from concept to market. They run a state-of-the-art equipment for all the services they provide. Our client specializes in injection molding capacity up to 2200 clamp tons, large tonnage two-shot molding, engineering design assistance, prototype capability (both Fused Deposit Modeling and soft tooling), and new tooling design and build capability.

We are now in search for a highly motivated, hardworking CMM Operator who has experience with quality engineering. We are seeking knowledgeable, detail-oriented, problem-solving individuals who are looking for new learning experiences, and a desire to contribute to our clients’ success.

CMM Operator

The CMM Operator s to the General Manager and is responsible for running a coordinate measuring machine during a production process. CMM operators essentially turn measurements and instructions into models and often use the machinery as an inspection tool, checking for accuracy during and after production. As the CMM Operator, you may even be on the floor supporting your fellow coworkers.

Practically speaking you will:

• Maintain the coordinate measuring machine (CMM)
• Test and calibrate equipment
• Precisely measure and program CMM for measurement s
• Read blueprints and renderings
• Perform layouts to GD&T
• Write or edit programming for new projects
• Assist in the preparation of Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) submissions
• Understand the acceptance/rejection criteria in accordance with customer specifications
• Mount and install tools, attachments and fixtures
• Perform in-process and final inspections
• Document and communicate production issues
• Keep a record of inventory

The Details:

This is a full-time permanent position working Monday to Friday with flexible hours out of our Alda office. Our client offers a competitive salary commensurate with experience, a comprehensive benefits plan, bonus, and vacation.

What You’ll Bring

• 3+ years of CMM Operator experience
• Able to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
• Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 lbs
• GD&T experience
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, specifically advanced Excel
• Associate’s degree in Quality Engineering or related field
• Bachelor’s degree in quality, mechanical, or industrial engineering
