Radin Consulting, Inc Hiring for Senior Office Engineer at Washington, DC Full Time

Radin, a transportation planning and design firm, is looking for a full-time Sr. Office Engineer to work on-site at the Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority (WMATA) facilities in Washington, DC. The salary will be based on qualifications and experience. Excellent benefits are included. All candidates will be required to pass a background check and must be fully vaccinated against Covid-19.

Major duties and responsibilities

The major duties and responsibilities of the Office Engineer include, but are not limited to:

• Update data in the Procore system through direct input of contract-related information or uploading other data files;

• Assist with preparation of project status s to identify progress and monitor the project schedule, budget, and staffing plan;

• Assist in the development of the new quality control processes where needed in collaboration with the project team and WMATA stakeholders;

• Represent WMATA’s Task Manager and/or the Program Manager at meetings as assigned;

• Maintain the contract files and project logs that include contractor-client correspondence, contractor invoices and progress payments

• Coordinate contract changes and claims, time sheets and overtime, and cost estimates for changes to contract work;

• Monitor and maintain contract logs with distribution of documents between the contractor and WMATA staff for compliance with contract time commitments;

• Coordinate the collection of daily inspection s from field inspectors and record lost time for contractors, reconciling the lost time with s from the contractors;

• Coordinate progress meetings with the contractor, WMATA staff, and technical consultants, prepare meeting agendas, record meeting minutes, and follow up on action items;

• Coordinate review of invoices and progress payments, prepare the payment packages for authorization for payment, and monitor compliance with Davis-Bacon wage rates; and

• Perform other duties as assigned by WMATA’s Task Manager and/or the Program Manager.

Background and Experience Required

• A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in engineering or in a related field;

• A minimum of three (3) years demonstratable experience in quality control and/or construction safety; a minimum of one (1) year out of the three (3) years shall be in the transportation industry or large-scale construction sector;

• Demonstrated QA/QC experience on rail transit projects;

• Excellent verbal/written communication skills and strong technical writing skills; and

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Procore.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $90,000.00 – $152,987.00 per year
