RACQ Hiring for Project Finance Specialist Job at Eight Mile Plains Full Time

We currently have a 12-month full time, fixed term contract, due to commence 24th September 2021 for a Project Finance Specialist reporting to the Manager Portfolio Management Office in our Group Finance Division. Project Finance Specialist provides support for large & complex projects at RACQ. This includes both financial and project management providing valuable insight and application of financial management processes. This individual will be responsible for supporting one or more projects and their teams.

The role will give you the opportunity to instil project finance disciplines, educate project teams regarding finance responsibilities and support month end and forecasting financial activities

About the Role.

• Supporting project teams to produce financial budgets, revise forecasts and management of project accruals and actuals.
• Challenging project teams to optimise project spend by identifying area of opportunity or waste.
• Highlighting key financial risks and options to address
• Providing educational sessions for the project community that relate to project financials e.g. process, tools, responsibilities, forecasts, status reporting and funding requests.
• Prepare project and portfolio financial reports, including providing analysis and insights.
• Tools used include Microsoft Dynamics, Excel and TM1.

About You.

• Bachelor or equivalent degree in accounting, finance or a related area
• Ideally at least 5+ years of Finance experience, ideally in financial services with Project Finance experience.
• Significant attention to detail whilst ensuring accuracy in reporting as well as the ability to proactively identify risk.
• Discipline to follow process coupled with the ability to flex and be agile in response to the environment.
• Effective communicator across a range of stakeholders that will drive desired outcomes and make the complex simple.
• Confidence to challenge the status quo and present alternate ways of achieving goals.
