RACAR Canada INC Hiring for Vehicle Demand Energy Engineer – Intermediate at Windsor, ON Full Time

• Description:

Daily activities for the VDE-Electrical include but are not limited to the following:

• Work closely with the Program Lead & VDE team to provide data needed to run fuel economy simulations

• Coordinate a small team of VDE Engineers to achieve program objectives

• Conduct VDE studies for the Advanced Architecture Team

• Perform VDE & capability competitive benchmarking

• Drive efficiency into the VDE process by promoting the use of automated VDE tools and processes

• Lead teams to develop VDE management strategies to meet program functional objectives

• Establish high level top down and detailed bottom up VDE targets

• Create and distribute VDE scorecards monthly

• Interface with Chief Engineer and program team to provide regular VDE status updates

• Support monthly FE Label compliance audits, monitor actual take rates for EPA options, tire and aero enablers

• Support VDE related Global Process alignment with other regions

• Coach, mentor and train junior VDE team members

• Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET accredited program.

• 4 years of relevant automotive product development experience.

• Knowledge of the overall program development life cycle

• Strong proficiency in Microsoft computer software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc).

• Basic proficiency with MATLAB or MATLAB/SimuLink based software tools

• Ability to create and deliver presentation material to groups of varying sizes.

• Experience analyzing data and formulating meaningful conclusions and recommendations from large data sets

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET accredited program.

• Experience with automotive competitive benchmarking or Energy Management

• Knowledge of Vehicle Demand Energy analysis or fuel economy testing

• Experience with developing models and software tools using MATLAB/Simulink

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $45.00-$46.00 per hour
