Rabobank Hiring for Finance Assistant – (6 months Fixed Term Contract) Job at Sydney Full Time

• Assisting the finance manager in preparation of insightful expense analysis
• Maintaining the resource cost databases to ensure the data is accurate and consistent across the various data sources
• Reconciliation of major supplier accounts to ensure accuracy of expense recording
• Investigating expense questions and budget variances
• Working with Financial control to improve the data quality and reporting for management
• Helping with budget preparation and input
• Assisting in monthly Apptio data capture
• Backing up for the IT Purchasing Officer in their absence
• Other ad hoc projects as required

The ideal fit for this role is an accounting student or recent graduate with a curious mind and keen appetite to learn more about financial management. The successful candidate will demonstrate initiative in finding solutions to challenges. Intermediate to advanced experience with Microsoft excel is essential and exposure to PowerBI is desirable.

Qualifications:

• Tertiary qualification in Accounting or Finance.

Experience:

• At least 3 years experience in a finance or accounting related function such as AP or GL

Knowledge:

• A good understanding of key accounting concepts including accruals, reconciliations and expense recognition Skills:
• Strong Microsoft Office skills (particularly Excel).
• Team player and client focus.
• Proactive problem-solving skills.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Willingness to take ownership and be able to resolve issues independently.
• Ability to develop a good rapport with other departments within the Bank.
• Ability to organise, plan and prioritise work to meet deadlines.
