We are proud to be partnering with a respected and highly profitable distribution business who are seeking a Senior Financial Accountant to join on a full-time permanent basis based at their head office in Mulgrave. The business has supportive leadership team and a friendly company-wide culture.

About the Position

ing directly to the Group CFO, the Senior Financial Accountant will be critical to the success of the finance function responsible for the following activities:

• Ensure accurate and timely financial ing, including the monthly, quarterly, and annual ing package.
• Assist the CFO in the preparation of financial presentations for board and executive leadership meetings.
• Reconciliation of all balance sheet accounts, including bank accounts, intercompany, credit cards, accruals, etc.
• Prepare and analyse management accounts, providing insights and recommendations to support strategic decision-making for the ELT.
• Assist the CFO in develop and maintain budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis processes.
• Support the CFO in implementing new and amended financial procedures and ERP systems.
• Inventory Management and overseeing external audit, liaising with auditors.

About You

• Tertiary education and CA / CPA qualified.
• Proven experience in a similar role (preferably within a product based, import, distribution and supply chain environment).
• Knowledge of key accounting concepts and fundamental knowledge of AU taxation.
• Strong process improvement / transformational exposure.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships of credibility and influence.
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise key tasks/manage time effectively.
• Flexible, resilient and able to adapt quickly and positively to changes.
