About the role

RACV’s Group finance function is expanding, and a new role has been created for an experienced Financial ing Manager to join the team; this role will play a key part in enhancing the services and capabilities that the Group function provides to the business.

As the Financial ing Manager (FRM), you’ll play a crucial role in elevating the statutory ing, driving process enhancements, managing consolidations across 12 legal entities, and managing the audit process. In this role, you will manage a small team of two financial accountants. This is a fantastic time to join this established team as they prepare for the next stage of growth.

Duties

• Responsible for the preparation of statutory financial s for RACV Group and subsidiaries.
• Responsible for the preparation of regulatory s, including ABS and APRA statistical returns, compliance with FSR license and other financial covenants/compliance ing.
• Ensure compliance with all accounting standards and statutory, professional and legislative requirements.
• Ensure statutory ing processes and timetables are controlled and aligned, close liaison with external auditors and preparation of related Board and Committee papers.
• Coordinate external audit process (including property valuations).
• This includes liaison with auditors to understand scope, timing and audit evidence required in order to prepare a detailed timetable of audit activities.
• Manage and analyse external audit requests

About You

This is a critical position in the group’s external ing function; we require a suitably qualified (ideally Big4/strong audit background) to join the team. You will be passionate about driving improvements and motivating a small, high-performing team. ing to the Head of Corporate Finance and Advisory, you will manage a team of two (highly experienced and capable) Financial Accountants. For success, we require an inquisitive mindset focused on driving improvement to existing processes and bringing new ideas and initiatives to the function. Excellent stakeholder management skills is also required.

• Bachelor of Business or Accounting plus membership of CA or CPA.
• 10 years post graduate experience in accounting role (including experience in the preparation of Group statutory accounts, in a complex and/or diverse company)
• Detailed knowledge of statutory ing requirements and accounting standards, including IFRS
• Experience in financial consolidations for a large corporate group
• Experience in preparing s for boards and management
• Strong understanding of audit processes
