Founded in 1997 from Bookkeeping and Management Accounting roots, Quinlan Consulting has grown divisions across Advisory and Consulting, Management Accounting and Bookkeeping, Commercial training, HR Consulting, Taxation services, and Marketing. Our Advisory division matured in 2020 on the back of Quinlan Consulting’s selection by the State Government and VCCI to deliver mentoring advisory services to Covid affected businesses. Our Marketing division is pivoting from a narrower digital scope to broader strategic and business focused marketing services whilst needing to maintain the strong digital foundation. Our HR division is growing exponentially and our core services of accounting and advisory underpin our growth.
Attributes of the perfect candidate to help delivery mentoring services to business owners and CEOs
We seek a Management Consultant 8-12 hours per week to deliver strategic mentoring advise to SME’s via Zoom. Working closely with our CEO and Executive Manager of Strategy and Operations, the Management Consultant will manage client relationships, strategic initiatives from creative thinking, whilst having the ability to explain our verticals such as marketing and HR. You will be empathetic and motivating to business owners highly impacted by covid whilst delivering contemporary solutions helping them grow revenue and optimise profits.
We deliver four session that are each of 2 hour duration to each business. The first session is a meet and great, understanding the client’s challenges and support priorities, outlining our services, brainstorming solutions, and creating a high level road map. Clients often seek technical support in meetings 2 and 3 in areas such as digital marketing, HR or finance and budgeting. Meeting 4 is a recap, finalising the roadmap, and ensuring they can implement the knowledge and tools we have shared in each meeting. Your communication and relationship management skills will be critical. You will have a natural ability to soft sell as you encourage them on the roadmap that is beneficial to both the client and Quinlan Consulting long term.
Over the coming 6 months we have a high volume of new clients from the VCCI programme. During this exciting phase you will share best practice solutions. For example, informing business owners of marketing opportunities such as booklets, flyers, SEO, Google and FB ads, website builds or improvements, guest posting, outreach, PR, content and social media, and strategic and relationship marketing. Your second goal is to roadmap them towards our ability to help them develop and implement these activities post the VCCI funded 8 hours initial support. For example, during sessions we empower clients with budgets, variance reporting and encourage them to a relaxed monthly or quarterly board meeting where we cover strategic and departmental metrics that sets up a long term relationship with us.
You will access our team of technical experts, project managers / administration, and library of templates and existing PowerPoint packs. However, you will have a strong conceptual understanding of each technical areas to ensure and oversee their time and standard of work remains in reasonable tolerances. You will have enough technical knowledge to communicate concepts to business owners and steer them to a correct strategy and portfolio of areas to focus on.

What we are looking for
· Bachelor or ideally Master level business qualifications.
· 7+ years’ management level experience.
· Creative, strategic thinker with an entrepreneurial approach.
· Strong communication skills & desire to connect and build relationships with clients.
· Fundamental understanding of digital marketing, HR, finance, and accounting.
· Data driven mindset with strong experience using analytic tools to analyse the customer journey and identify opportunities for improvement.
· Experience managing a budget and a team.
