UK Controls & Operation Manager
About the Role

The Finance Accounts Assistant will provide technical support within the Legal Entity Controls & Operations team. You will provide relevant analytical insight into Controls & Reconciliations whilst also creating a stable and robust environment, that is maintained to the Quilter Balance Sheet Requirements.
Have oversight of the production of the monthly numbers for the Business Unit whilst also reconciling key balance sheet accounts and investigate reconciling items and escalate issues.
Identify and document requirements, resolve issues and perform on-going improvements and remediation to the relevant Finance systems.
Support the identification of opportunities to improve operational efficiency and effectiveness and support the assessment, validation, and prioritisation of improvement opportunities.
Support the Finance Manager and Financial Controller in the provision of information for external auditors. You will also be assisting the Finance Manager in preparing the applicable statutory, regulatory and liquidity reporting for the Business Unit.
Will be able to track issues and resolutions; identify situations requiring urgent attention.
Work with the Finance Systems team (GTS) in coordinating and implementing Systems change whilst also staying current with any relevant system information, changes, and updates.
Build and maintain strong partnerships with the other members of the wider finance team to share best practice and standards.

Our ideal candidate will have strong analytical and interpretation skills and also developed knowledge of applicable Financial and Regulatory Reporting requirements (e.g. IFRS, SII). You will also be working towards an accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
You will have good communication skills, written and verbal as well as the ability to engage and consult colleagues at all levels of the organisation.
Have the ability to produce high quality, timely deliverables whilst also providing a high level of attention to detail.
Be able to work in a complex and changing environment whilst also embracing change and initiate new and better ways of working to deliver positive customer outcomes.
Will have a proactive approach to the resolution of problems and obstacles, escalating issues as required.
