About Quillerr

Quillerr is a brand new revolutionary online tuition platform. With an excellent founding team with experience in the tuition market and scaling start-ups, we’ve created a platform that fundamentally changes the way tutors across the world will approach online tuition. We’re almost ready to launch our MVP, and we think with the right team in place we will soon be ready to grow very quickly.

The Role

We’re now entering launch phase of our start-up journey and we are looking to hire a Web development intern. You will have a critical role in helping to complete our MVP and work closely with our CTO.

Key Responsibilities will include:

• Writing clean, readable and efficient code in ReactJS
• Implementing common JS libraries
• Debugging existing code
• Producing technical documentation
• Creating and updating design diagrams
• Developing software engineering processes

Required Skills:

• Strong JavaScript and CSS
• Source control technologies
• Interest in programming and web development
• Common coding patterns & concepts
• Solid understanding of software engineering fundamentals

Desirable skills:

• ReactJS patterns
• Styled-components
• Docker
• Gitlab cicd
• Agile methodologies
• JIRA and Confluence
• Passionate about working in a startup environment

Recruitment Process:

Once you apply, our team will review your application. Successful candidates will be invited to a two-stage process including:

• Technical Assessment: Should your profile be a match, we will ask you to complete a HackerRank technical assessment. In the assessment, you’ll have an opportunity to code in a language of your choice and also answer some basic multiple-choice questions. This will help us understand how you approach and solve technical challenges.
• Virtual Interview: During this round, you’ll speak with our CTO. In this final round, it’s all about determining if you are the right fit for Quillerr, and Quillerr is the right fit for you.

The Offer

To begin with this will be a remote and fully voluntary role. Workload and time commitments can be flexible but we are only looking for candidates who are willing to commit to a 6 week cycle working 2-3 days a week.

This is a fast paced, small scale start up, with no two tasks being identical. You will learn a huge amount about the software development process, but you will also need to be proactive and feel comfortable adapting to different situations and challenges. It’s a great chance for new developers to learn essential skills and gain valuable industry experience.

There are some awesome opportunities for the right candidate to become a paid member of the team with salary & equity options once the internship position is complete.
