We are searching for a Finance Assistant to join our Finance Team. The successful candidate will be responsible for Customer Invoicing, Accounts Receivable as well as Accounts Payable responsibilities therefore attention to detail is critical.

Snapshot of the role:

• Processing basic and routine functions related to Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and general accounting duties – including dispatch notes, customer invoicing, supplier invoice processing, payment advices, performing bank reconciliation’s and preparing related documentation and correspondence.
• Monitor debtor lists, contacting clients in order to procure outstanding payments and escalating long standing/delinquent debtors to more senior staff.
• Obtaining authorisation for payment from appropriate personnel, allocating expenditure to the correct budget account and arranging for forms of payment.
• Maintaining records of documents processed for ready access and producing various reports according to operating procedures.
• Assisting with month end accounting procedures and the production of weekly, fortnightly, monthly and quarterly reports as required.

What we are looking for:

• Preferred – at least 12 months related experience
• Base level ERP entry experience.
• Excellent attention to detail
• Understanding of reconciliation procedures
• Intermediate MS Office skills.
