Project Controls Engineer

We are working with a prestigious client based in Chorley who have been established for over 40 years now.  They specialise in bespoke solutions, and also recognise the benefits of utilising and integrating existing technologies. They are specialists in their area and predominately supply to Civil and Defence Nuclear industry.  We are currently working with this amazing organisation and looking for highly experienced Project Controls Engineer to join this business.

Core skills required of the Project Controls Engineer:

• Must over 10 years working experience as a Project Controls Engineer 
• Must have over 5 years working experience within Project Management 
• Must have Formal training in Primavera 
• Comprehensive knowledge and experience of using Primavera P6, and an understanding of planning fundamentals, including coding of activities, logic links, date constraints and lags
• Experience within a manufacturing / technical background is key for this role 
• Hands on working experience of working in line with NEC 3 Contracts is required (NC 4 would be advantageous)
• Experience of resource loading programs to activity level and maintaining budget, actuals and forecast; Understand budgets, analyse spend, EAC and any impact to project etc.
• Must Meet baseline security clearance criteria

The successful Project Controls Engineer will Provide technical and commercial Project Controls support, working in accordance with company processes and procedures, to provide, update and report on integrated schedule, cost and resource information across a portfolio of projects from bid development through to project closeout.
