Position Title: Accounting Manager

Position Summary: The primary responsibility for the Accounting Manager:
The Accounting Manager analyzes financial status by collecting, monitoring, and studying data and recommending actions. This position provides overall coordination of financial planning and business management to ensure proper fiscal management of respective businesses, improved decision making and achievement of operating targets. Responsible for the monthly close and financial reporting.
Accounting Manager Job Duties
· Monthly Close/Journal Entries, Financial Reporting, and related Financial Variance Analysis
· Sales Tax and Annual Corporate Registration Compliance Administration
· Maintain Fixed Asset Depreciation and Intangible Amortization Schedules
· Treasury Management – Bank Reconciliations, Cash Flow, Loan maintenance
· Learn and improve the following critical processes: Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable (credit and collections), and Inventory Control
· Assist with rolling forecasts and annual operating budget.
· Work with outside CPA Firm on Corporate Income Taxes and Annual Audit
· Lead special projects developed by Vice President of Finance to improve the operations and safeguard assets.
· Netsuite Enhancement – Improve Reporting, Budget and Forecast Integration, PBSC module implementation.
· I-Contracts Administrative Reporting
· Improve internal control by establishing and enforcing existing policies and procedures; research processes and recommend actions.
· Streamline Commission calculations and authorization process.
· Improves financial status by analyzing results; identify detailed variances; recommending actions to management.
· Create Excel spreadsheets that improve efficiency and financial reporting.
· Increases productivity by developing automated accounting applications and coordinating information requirements.
· Improve record retention, filing, and scanning of documents.
· Protect operations by keeping financial information confidential.
Accounting Manager Skills and Qualifications:
· 2 – 5 years Corporate Finance Experience; Developing Standards, Quality Management, Problem Solving, Process Improvement with Requirement Analysis, Cost Accounting, Financial Planning and Strategy, Financial Reporting and Analysis, Lean systems Experience.
· Bachelor’s Degree in accounting – 4-year college degree
· CPA preferred with working knowledge of GAAP.
· Full Monthly Close Experience
· Experience with critical accounting functions: General Ledger, Treasury Management, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Inventory Control
· Cost Accounting Experience – Gross Margin Analysis (Brand and Retailer), Chargebacks/Returns/Discounts analysis and inventory impact
· Sales Tax Administration and Annual registrations Experience
· Strong written/verbal communication and presentation skills.
· Intermediate Skills in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, One Drive), Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, Database management.
· Netsuite Experience preferred
· I-Contracts Administrative Experience preferred
· Proven ability in analyzing data from a variety of sources and identify patterns/trends in the data to form conclusions and recommendations.
· Demonstrated ability in developing winning strategic plans by employing analytics, critical thinking, and solid arguments to influence Department Functions and implement process change initiatives.
· Consumer Package Goods and Self Health Care Industry Experience preferred
