QTC is the central financing authority for the Queensland Government and provides financial resources and services for the State. We manage the State’s funding program in the global capital markets to deliver sustainable and cost-effective borrowings for the Queensland Government, local governments, and other related entities (our clients).

With a statutory role to advance the financial interests and development of the State, we help to deliver innovative, long-term solutions that contribute to the growth of Queensland’s economy. We protect Queensland’s financial interests and deliver better financial outcomes by centralising the management of our clients’ borrowings, cash investments, and foreign exchange.

Your first year at QTC will be within our graduate program, which will run for 12 months starting in February 2022. Our graduates benefit from a rotation program across core business units to gain breadth of experience and understanding about the important role that we play in protecting and advancing Queensland’s financial interests.

Who are we looking for?

We are seeking graduates who are looking for a first-class graduate role in a corporate environment and are completing their degree in finance, economics, business or accounting or relevant discipline.

Successful candidates will demonstrate:

• excellent communication (oral, written and presentation) and interpersonal skills
• strong results focus with a curious mindset
• ability to problem solve and demonstrate strong numerical reasoning skills
• ability to work in a team and develop relationships across the business, and
• dependable, conscientious, self-motivated and professional potential.

Are you eligible?

To be eligible for QTC’s graduate program you must have completed study prior to the start of the graduate program with studies expected to be completed by November 2021. While the minimum requirement is a bachelor’s degree, we also encourage applicants who have recently completed, or are currently completing, post graduate studies.

Applicants need to be an Australian citizen; or reside in Australia and have permission under a Commonwealth law to work in Australia and remain in Australia indefinitely.
