Queensland Health Hiring for Senior Finance Officer (Assets) Job at Queensland Full Time

An opportunity exists for a Senior Finance Officer (Assets) to provide contemporary financial and asset accounting specialist services, advice and support to the Financial and Asset Accounting Team and key stakeholders internally within the Sunshine Coast Hospital and Health Service (SCHHS) and externally to the Department of Health and other organisations as required. A specific focus of this role is asset accounting, asset governance and responding to new public sector investment initiatives/opportunities as they relate to non-current assets.

Key Responsibilities:

• Critically analyse, assess and challenge, where necessary, asset accounting treatment and acquisitions purchased on behalf of SCHHS (e.g., HTER, e-Health and other Sustaining Capital Programs).
• Assist the Manager Financial and Asset Accounting and Director Assets and Infrastructure in the development and management of a capital allocation framework that results in fair and equitable budget allocations combining all sources of capital funding.
• Support the Manager, Financial and Asset Accounting with various accounting related functions as required, including policy and processes, journal processing and reconciliations.

Remuneration value up to $133 139 p.a., comprising salary between $108 936 – $116 690 p.a., employer contribution to superannuation (up to 12.75%) and annual leave loading (17.5%) (AO6).
