Queensland Health Hiring for Project Analyst Job at Brisbane Full Time

We are seeking a fixed term temporary full-time AO5 Project Analyst (until 30 June 2023) to join our team at Procurement & Supply Chain Optimisation (P&SCO) Program, Department of Health. This role is responsible for supporting the reporting deliverables which includes extracting data from multiple sources, importing and merging data into databases, creating dashboards and report templates, producing reports, analysing performance results, developing, and delivering key findings. Located in Bowen Hills the successful applicant will also analyse large data sets by product sub-categories within the program to understand trends such as demand, preference and expiry and provide recommendations around stock holding targets. The Procurement & Supply Chain Optimisation (P&SCO) Program is a program of work established to protect against supply chain disruption and secure critical supplies for Queensland. The reserve will ensure frontline workers have access to the supplies and equipment needed to support essential services. It will also ensure supply arrangements are not disrupted during a public health emergency or natural disaster, including bushfires, cyclones and floods.

What we are looking for:

• Demonstrated knowledge and expertise in the use of business intelligence software and information reporting systems used for the extraction, manipulation and presentation of reports from complex systems.
• Proven ability to develop and represent analysed data in a relevant and interesting manner to meet the needs of a range of stakeholders.
• Strong analytic skills related to working with structured and unstructured datasets.
• Experience performing root cause analysis on internal data, external data, and processes to answer specific business questions and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Proven effective consultation, facilitation, written and oral communication skills for use in a program/project environment.
• Proven ability to work in a team environment developing effective working relationships with team members and stakeholders.

Mandatory qualifications and other requirements:

• While not mandatory, a relevant qualification would be well regarded.
• It is a condition of employment for this role, for the employee to be, and remain, vaccinated against COVID-19 as per the Queensland Health Human Resources Policy B70.
• Experience in SAP applications, including purchasing, inventory and warehouse management, is regarded.
