You will
- Have expert educational knowledge to lead the development, review and maintenance of education tools
- Lead the coordination and delivery of emergency specific learning opportunities
- Support orientation, onboarding and clinical progression of novices and experienced staff
- Provide expert guidance in the support of ongoing development and learning opportunities for staff
About you
To be successful in this position you will require:
- Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent
- AHPRA Registration
- A Masters or Higher qualification within a relevant specialty area is highly desirable
- Membership of, or affiliation with the college of Emergency Nursing Australia will be well regarded
- Evidence of vaccination, or be able to be vaccinated against and remain vaccinated against – Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella (Chicken Pox), Pertussis (Whooping Cough), Hepatitis B and COVID 19
- Tuberculosis screening, to identify if the tuberculosis vaccination may be required
- Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed

Salary
- Permanent full time
- Base salary ranging from $118 993 – $129 189 per annum

The Nursing, Midwifery Education and Research Unit (NMERU) is situated within the Division of Nursing, Midwifery and Patient Experience and is an integral part of Gold Coast Health. NMERU embraces the principles and goals of the health service, remaining committed to fostering research, education, and training to improve health services and to enhance a skilled professional workforce.
Education Programs is one of four portfolios within NMERU and the Nurse Educator (Emergency Department) is situated within the Education Programs team. The clinically based educators are aligned to specific practice areas within the three operational divisions, and a small team are focused on District-wide programs. This service is based in Robina.
