About the role

This position provides an efficient and effective focused finance administrative service and maintains and collates financial data for cost recovery, end of month processing and reporting.

As the finance officer you will assist in month end reporting and financial requirements including journals, preparation of reports, analysis of results, acquittals and cost centre maintenance.

About you

Our ideal candidate will be someone who can demonstrate the following:

• Demonstrated skills in communication both written and verbal and the ability to operate effectively in a team environment and to work autonomously.
• Demonstrated understanding of the principles related to accounting and applicable legislative requirements.
• Demonstrated ability to analyse data, identify causes for variances between budget and actuals and problem solve.
• Demonstrated ability in the utilisation of software systems including Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, General ledger systems and Business warehousing systems.

Mandatory Requirements:

• Vaccinated against COVID-19 as outlined in the Health Employment Directive NO. 12/21 and the Queensland Health Human Resources Policy B70.
