Queensland Government Hiring for Senior Finance Officer Job at Brisbane Full Time

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and administer the delivery of administrative finance and transactional payroll activities, including accounts payable functions, accounts receivable, bank and credit card reconciliations, business activity statements, payroll tax, and transactional payroll and leave administration.
• Provide a customer focused support service through maintaining and enhancing administrative systems and processes to maximise the effectiveness of the Finance team.
• Monitor and manage the necessary generic finance email accounts and finance process related workflows.
• Input, update and retrieve relevant finance information in the department’s financial management systems and maintain a high level of data integrity and accuracy.
• Develop and maintain collaborative and productive relationships with internal and external stakeholders that contribute to or have necessary involvement in CRRDA’s financial and HR management.

About You

• Demonstrated high level of expertise in undertaking finance and administrative activities within a commercial, government or project environment.
• Competent across Microsoft suite and experience with data entry using various accounting systems (Technology One Finance Package is highly desirable)
• Demonstrated ability to build and maintain productive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Desire to work within a small high performing finance group.
• Relevant tertiary qualification (Cert IV Bookkeeping / Bachelor degree)
• You will have excellent verbal and written communication skills and have an ability to articulate complex information.

**Please note, this role will be offered as a 3 year maximum term contract**
