To attract top tier candidates we offer generous remuneration packages that include:

• Base salary ranges between $60.01 and $65.15 p.h. (Nurse Grade 7).
• 5 weeks p.a. recreational leave + 17.5% loading.
• Up to 12.5% employer superannuation contribution.

Staff Accommodation may be available or rental subsidy of $82.50 p.w. up to 17 months.

Professional Development: we offer in-house training, development and mentoring programs, and 2 weeks p.a. plus travel as required and enrolment and conference costs for approved courses and conferences.

Rural and Remote incentives: two (2) return airfares p.a. (inc. spouse/dependents) to the nearest east coast provincial city in conjunction with recreation leave. Annual isolation bonus at the conclusion of 1 year $3,500, 2 years $10,500 and 3rd and consecutive years $7,000.

Additional leave options include: purchased, long service, sick, parental, maternity, or adoption leave. Plus rostering allows for one (1) day/month (accumulative) ‘Accrued Days Off’

About the role

This role works as a member of the Professional Practice Support Unit and is responsible for providing advanced leadership in the provision of education programs and resources that build clinical and professional expertise and capability within the nursing and midwifery workforce within the NWHHS; including planning, tailoring, and implementing educational programs appropriate to both midwives and / or nurses for the support and management of maternity care within the NWHHS.

Requirements:

• While not mandatory, there is an expectation that applicants will possess or be working towards a post graduate qualification in education and/or midwifery.
• Proof of qualification, registration with AHPRA and a current practising certificate are mandatory requirements.
• This is a Vaccine Preventable Diseases (VPD) risk role and may require evidence of vaccination or immunity to: Hepatitis B, Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis, Tuberculosis and COVID-19.
• A 6-month period of probation may apply.
