About you

The ideal applicant will demonstrate capability in the following requirements:

• Business month end functions relating to financial, banking, accruals, purchasing and credit card processes.
• Preparing journals, general ledger reconciliations, and analysis including dual payroll system interfaces.
• Providing monthly budget oversight and reviewing forecasts in collaboration with business areas to improve forecasting accuracy and ad-hoc financial reports.
• Providing project finance support and assistance to business areas, including monthly reconciliation of Finance 1 to project forecasts, and preparing monthly project finance reports and accompanying accrual journals.
• Providing ad hoc budget and forecast training to cost centre managers and project managers.
• Assisting with the preparation of the CCC’s annual budget and bi-monthly forecasts.
• Assisting with the preparation of the CCC’s annual financial statements and audit by the Queensland Audit Office.
• Preparing the review and updating of financial management policies and procedures.
• Assisting to identify initiatives to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of financial and administrative activities within the CCC.

Possession of tertiary qualifications in accounting or a related discipline and/or a professional membership of CPA, ICA or CIMA is highly desirable. Qualifications acquired from an overseas educational institution will only be accepted where the qualification has been recognised to an equivalent level in accordance with the Australian Qualifications Framework.
