The role

Deliver effective and professional financial accounting services across the North West Hospital and Health Service, with a focus on reporting and compliance, to ensure the integrity of the HHS’s accounts and system of internal financial controls.

You will assist in the delivery of statutory financial reports that comply with accounting standards and pronouncements, legislation and state government policy and guidelines, provide technical financial accounting advice to the Director of Finance and Chief Finance Officer (CFO) and manage the system of internal financial management controls and compliance.

Role requirements:

• A relevant qualification (Bachelor of Business in Accounting or Commerce or equivalent) is required.
• Chartered Accountant (CA) or Certified Practising Accountant (CPA) credentials would be well regarded.
• Mandatory requirements are proof of tertiary degree qualification and appropriate registration/licences/credentials. Pre-employment screening, including criminal history checks and Vaccine Preventable Diseases (VPD) risk role compliance, will be conducted for the successful candidate.
• COVID-19 vaccination requirements: It is a condition of employment for all prospective and existing health service employees to be vaccinated against COVID-19 (first does by 30 Sept 2021, second dose by 31 Oct 2021). All employees must maintain vaccination protection and provide evidence confirming they have received the prescribed number of doses of the vaccine
