Queensland Government Hiring for Chief Financial Officer Job at Brisbane Full Time

• Providing strategic financial advice to the CEO, Strategic Leadership Team, Board and its Committees to ensure financial sustainability, strong financial governance, strategic procurement and oversight an Insurance Scheme.
• Leading the development of the budget, forecast and quarterly reviews Including attendance at monthly Board meetings and Finance, Audit and Risk Committee and Insurance Committee meetings.
• Leading the preparation of annual financial statements and monthly reporting in compliance with applicable accounting standards and legislation. Including an annual CFO Assurance Statement to the Board outlining the accountability framework applied and the risk assessment to support the accuracy of the annual financial
• Maintaining relationships with and report to external agencies including Queensland Treasury, Queensland Audit Office, internal audit team, Actuary, reinsurance Brokers and Reinsurers.
• Leading the strategic procurement, contract management and supply functions of the organisation.
• Fostering a positive culture within your team, actively managing team members to continually develop, engage with risk, show personal courage, and commit to action including through modelling these behaviours.

You will possess exceptional leadership skills and can clearly develop and translate the organisations objectives, policies, plans and strategies to internal and external stakeholders. Your strong sense of judgement, strong business acumen and astute decision-making skills along with a strong customer service ethos are imperative to the success of this role.
