Key tasks and responsibilities of the role (your contribution)- Undertake administrative duties for the National Tropical Weeds Eradication Program. This may include completing stock orders and maintaining registers in line with business procedures and standards or providing administrative support to operational teams undertaking either ground or aerial activities.

  • Assist with creating job packages for field staff. – Perform general administrative duties for program managers as directed e.g., take minutes, circulate agenda, data entry, answer phones, make travel bookings and manage correspondence. – Monitor and edit data for accuracy and flag data issues when utilising and updating the Biosecurity Online Resources and Information System (BORIS). – Demonstrate excellence in customer service and when liaising with internal stakeholders – Acquire and sustain a working knowledge of relevant IT applications and follow business processes to accurately enter, register, check, update, action, transfer and report work items, financial information, and data. – May undertake basic financial processing. This may include processing customer bank details or verifying invoice details before and after invoices are generated, scrutinising invoice reports, correct data errors and enter information into departmental financial systems. – Export reports and data from relevant systems. Collate and order the exported data to be escalated to management for decision-making and/or reporting purposes.- May participate in system and software pilots. This includes consulting in the design of new systems, completing user acceptance testing, troubleshooting, and providing feedback. – Maintain registers in accordance with department standards and distribute where appropriate. – Complete stock orders and send through to publishing when required.Applications to remain current for 12 months.Job Ad Reference: QLD/414446/22Closing Date: Thursday, 21 April 2022This work is licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution 3.0 Australia License.
