Head of Disability and Student Wellbeing

Job description
The Disability and Wellbeing Service is responsible for providing a comprehensive range of services to help support students become successful and healthy learners. The services comprises of the Wellbeing Service, including the management of students at risk, Disability Services, the Needs Assessment Centre and Register of Support Workers as well as managing partnerships with a third party Counselling Service, the University Health Centre and the Belfast Trust Student Mental Health Project. Through a series of both proactive and reactive interventions and programmes the service supports the ambition set out in the University’s Strategy 2030.

As Head of Service you will understand and support the importance of an excellent student experience by leading a team of expert staff through continuous improvement to help achieve good outcomes for our students.

You will also play a key role in working with Schools and Faculties of the University as they support students on a day to day basis in the learning environment which will include responding to risk management and legal compliance matters.
