Full Job Description

Quantech has an immediate opening for a Senior Acquisition Logistics Manager supporting the The Air Force Nuclear Weapons Center (AFNWC) Nuclear Command, Control, and Communications Integration Directorate (AFNWC/NC). The NC3 mission is to deliver integrated NC3 capabilities and ensure ongoing NC3 programs, legacy systems and new capabilities are fully integrated as part of the Air Force’s overall effort to sustain, modernize, and recapitalize the nuclear enterprise. Job responsibilities include:

  • Provide expertise in evaluating operational systems sustainment strategies and life cycle execution to include the identification of diminishing manufacturing sources and obsolescence issues.
  • Perform logistics management tasks that involves planning, coordinating, or evaluating the logistical actions required to support a specified mission, weapons system, or other designated program.
  • Support efforts that include planning and executing integrated product support elements to include: Product Support Management; Sustainment Planning; Supply Support; Maintenance Planning & Management; and Technical Data.
  • Support Product Support Business Case Analysis (PS-BCA), Life Cycle Sustainment Plan (LCSP), and Logistics Health Assessment (LHA) efforts on operational systems.
  • Build and maintain relationships with NC3 operational users/maintainers. Learn NC3 platform systems and extract technical and execution data in relationship to current and future sustainment activities.
Job Requirements
  • SECRET clearance required; TOP SECRET desired.
  • Familiarity with the Integrated Product Support (IPS) Elements Guidebook (https://www.dau.edu/tools/t/Integrated-Product-Support-(IPS)-Element-Guidebook) and experience in any one of the seven integrated product support elements required.
  • Operational knowledge of aircraft or ground communication systems and radios would be extremely beneficial. Air Force/Navy communications maintenance technician experience a major plus.
  • Experience with technical orders, ordering parts from supply, performing maintenance documentation, and analyzing problems to determine root cause extremely useful.

Work Environment: This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, scanners, filing cabinets and fax machines.

Physical Demands: This is largely a sedentary role mostly sitting; however, some filing maybe required. This would require the ability to move files, or boxes with file data, open filing cabinets and bend or stand as necessary, ability to lift up to 40lbs.

Mental Demands: Reading; communicate effectively (verbal and written); maintain emotional control and professionalism.
