The position is full time: Monday-Thursday (8:00am -5:00pm) and Friday (8:00am -4:30pm), centrally and conveniently located in Islandia, NY; please note that the position is a partly remote position with scheduled in-office time for purposes of work coordination with the HR Department. This position will require remote email access and occasional calls outside of standard work hours.

This position reports directly to the company’s Human Resources Manager and offers the ability to gain valuable experience and contribute meaningfully to a thriving corporation from day one. The Talent Acquisition Partner/HR Generalist will undertake a wide range of HR tasks, starting with recruiting talent – one of our priorities.

Responsibilities

• Develops, facilitates, and implements all phases of the recruitment process for key positions in the organization.
• Collaborates and continually communicates with HR manager to identify and draft detailed and accurate job descriptions and hiring criteria. ·
• Identifies and implements efficient and effective recruiting methods and strategies based on the available role, industry standards, and the needs of the organization. ·
• Creates and monitors job posting processes. ·
• Screens applicants and selects qualified candidates. ·
• Oversees preparation of interview questions and other hiring and selection materials. ·
• Assists with the interview process, conducting phone screenings, virtual interviews, as well as scheduling interviews with managers, directors, and other stakeholders. ·
• Collaborates with the HR manager and/or other human resource staff during the offer process, to relay all the necessary hiring information to prospective employee. ·
• Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and company policies.
• Helps to coordinate and implement performance evaluation process.
• Takes on HR projects as needed under the direction of the HR Manager.

Skills

• Proven experience as an HR Recruiter and Generalist
• Understanding of general human resources policies and procedures
• Good knowledge of employment/labor laws
• Outstanding knowledge of MS Office; HRIS systems/Payroll systems(e.g. ADP) will be a plus
• Excellent communication and people skills
• Aptitude for critical thinking and a continuous learning mentality
• Desire to work on a team with a results driven approach
• BS/BA in HR, Business Administration or relevant field
• 2-3 years additional HR training
