Qove Property Group is a multi-divisional construction firm with operations in Residential Project Homes, Medium to High Rise Residential Apartments, and Land Development. We at the centre of Bella Vista within the Norwest Business Park precinct with project footprint spreading across entire Sydney Metro and up to the Central Coast.

Due to ongoing expansion of the company’s operation, we are currently seeking a dynamic individual for the role of Accountant within the Accounts and Finance Department.

Role Description

• Management of all Company Accounts, including setting up and maintenance of new job accounts.
• Manage payables and receivables for designated portfolio
• Monitor and manage daily cash flows in and out, as well as conducting cash flow forecasting and variance analysis to assist the Management in formulating financial strategies
• Prepare periodic financial budget and assist in its implementation across the organization
• Assist in formulating accounting and budgetary policies for the Company.
• Day to day bank reconciliation.
• Preparing advice to the Directors relating to cash flow management, taxation compliance, financial forecasting, and management of operating costs.
• Liaising with Customers, suppliers, and peers from other departments for efficient management of accounts, admin, and receivables management.
• Managing Payroll for the company and overseeing superannuation compliance.
• Preparation and review of quarterly Business Activity Statements and Monthly Instalment Activity Statements to be lodged in accordance with Statutory Deadlines.
• Continual monitoring and review of changes in regulatory frameworks and liaising with the Directors and proof delivery team to ensure compliance with any changes to regulatory frameworks.
• Preparing financial statement for the company and posting year end journals.
• Managing over all company ledgers.
• Use the enterprise systems to continuously monitor financial data and prepare financial information dashboard for monthly Management Committee meetings.

Qualification, Skills and Experience

Minimum Qualifications:

• Minimum Bachelors degree in Accounting
• Working towards or eager to work towards CPA/ CA is an added advantage.

To be successful in this role you will :

• Have solid understanding of Accounting concepts, AASB framework and Taxation guidelines.
• Have minimum 1 year experience in Accounting related roles preferably in Construction industry
• Have prior experience in working with Accounting software preferably Databuild and Jobpac.
• Have strong communication and coordination skills
• Have skills to pay close attention to details, critically analyse problems and offer solutions
• Be a good team player
• Have basic knowledge of law affecting financial operation in construction industry particularly Securities of Payment Act 1999.
• Fluency in using MS Excel and knowledge of using Power BI is an added advantage.

Salary: $66,000.00 – $80,000.00 per year
